Doesn't seem like there will be a white Christmas in the Greater Toronto Area

I guess that's better than the other extreme, so much snow that an airport is shut down (and a basketball game is cancelled!)

Here's wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

And the ball is no more!

In a surprising move, the NBA has decided to switch back to the leather ball after new years. This is surprising since all reports indicate that the newer ball is more consistent & because of the stubborness that is David Stern.

This announcement comes at a time which is a Quarter of the way into the season. With 20 games (on average) being played it is a good time to check in to see how progress is

The Toronto Raptors are a disappointing team, in a very low performing division, of the weaker conference. If the playoff were to begin today, no one from the division would make it, with a record of 7 - 13, we are on pace to have another lottery pick in the next draft & it may be a high one since we are amongst the worst.

There will be changes soon. But definitely a frustrating quarter.

Rube Goldberg!

This person http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rube_goldberg made cartoons, those cartoons led to "Rube Goldberg Machines" which are basically machines which do something in an indirect & complex way. I think if we combine this with "Dominos" (the blocks, not the pizza) it would make for an interesting project!!!
